General Overview

Druvis III is a 6* Plant Afflatus Arcanist that specializes in dealing Mental damage to enemies and occasionally inflicting them with the special [Petrified] debuff, rendering the enemy unable to act unless they are attacked again by Reality damage for a good amount of time.

Role And Stats Analysis

Druvis III can be categorized as a Sub DPS/ Debuffer Arcanist with her ability to not only deal amazing mental damage to enemies but also her ability to make the enemies unable to act when attacking with her Mental Damage skills. However, Druvis can only take advantage of her special abilities fully when used in teams that deal Mental Damage only, limiting her team options.

Druvis III stats are decently good for a 6* damage dealer, however, her attack stats are quite low, making her damage output coming a bit short when compared to other Damage dealers in the same rarity of 6*s. That being said, her low attack stat is somewhat made even by her relatively high critical damage stat, allowing her to deal good damage if her attacks are critical hits. Aside from that, her defensive stats are quite good, which should allow her to survive enemies’ attacks with no problems.

Skills And Ultimate Analysis

- Druvis III’s 1st skill - Wind into the Woods: 1-target attack. Deals (200/300)% Mental DMG and inflicts Petrify status for (1/2)  rounds.

Skill Ranking: S Rank

Skill Analysis And Recommendations: Druvis III’s single target skill and her main skill, Druvis III’s 1st skill wind into the woods is an exceptional single target skill that deals good amount of Mental damage to 1 enemy and on higher star rating (2 and above), will inflict the special [Petrify] debuff on the enemy, rendering them unable to act for 1 to 2 turns unless they are attacked by reality damage. While this skill has a relatively low damage modifier compared to other single target skills, the utility this skill provide to the team is extremely powerful and should not be overstated as it can not only prevent enemies’ attacks but also prevent them from activating buffs or even gain moxie while they are Petrified.

- Druvis III’s 2nd skill - Early Dawn: Mass attack. Deals (120/180/300)% Mental DMG to 2 enemies. This attack enjoys Penetration Rate +30%.

Skill Ranking: B - A Rank

Skill Analysis And Recommendations: A very decent AOE skill and Druvis’ main AOe attack option to soften up enemies. The skill is relatively average for an AOE attacking skill with low Damage modifiers. However, it is important to note that this attack will always enjoy a 30% penetration rate, always penetrating the mental damage resistance of the enemies, making it easier to deal damage.

- Druvis III’s Ultimate - Silence in the Woods: Mass attack. Deals 400% Mental DMG to all enemies and 1 round of Petrify to the main target.

Ultimate Ranking: A Rank

Ultimate Analysis And Recommendations: A decently powerful Ultimate skill that utilizes Druvis III’s petrifying effects on an enemy. While this ultimate is a decently powerful ultimate when compared to other Arcanists, the utility of Petrification helps to boost it ranking to A. However, players need to note that while the attack does damage to all enemies, only the target that the player selects will be petrified, so players need to pay attention before attacking.

Skills And Ultimate Recommended Order In Battle: Use Skill 2 to soften up enemies. Only use Skill 1 when it is on star rating 2 at least and should be used in order to stop the enemies’ attacks with Petrification. Use her ultimate right away whenever possible to maximize damage output or use against enemies that are about to attack to stop their action when in danger.

Portray Priority

Druvis III does not need Portray to be able to become useful, however, the higher her Portray level is, the more damage she will be able to deal with her skills and ultimate. While not necessary, Druvis III does benefit somewhat from a high Portray level.

Psychubes & Resonance Recommendations

Psychubes Recommendations:

With Druvis III being a Sub DPS/Debuffer character fitting into the role of a secondary damage dealer and backup utility, Druvis III’s best psychubes are focused mainly on her damage output or help other allies by providing other utilities in the stage to help them further.

Some of the best Psychubes for Druvis includes:

- Brave New World (6*):  After the carrier casts an Ultimate, Incantation Might of the next incantation +(20/40)%. [Druvis III’s best DPS Psychube option as it massively boost the damage output of her skills after using her Ultimate skill]

- Her Second Life (6*): After the carrier casts the mass Ultimate, HP+(the carrier’s ATK x[32/64]%) for all allies. [Druvis III’s signature and best psychube to use for better utility and support for the entire team, allowing her to heal the party after she have used her AOE Ultimate against the enemy, good for sustaining the party for hard fights]

Resonance Recommendation:

For Resonance, Druvis III benefits most from Attack, Damage and Critical Oriented Resonances for her role as a DPS character with a mix of Defensive Resonance as well to keep her alive.

Team Compositions Recommendations

As Druvis III is a DPS character, her role in a team is the sub DPS/ Debuffer, making her team compositions be divided into 2 different types of teams as followed:

Damage Oriented Team: DPS + Sub-DPS + Survival Support

All Rounder Team: DPS + Damage Support + Survival Support

Damage Oriented Teams:

For this type of team, Druvis III’s role is as the sub DPS character to provide debuffs and supplement the main DPS’s damage with her Mental attacking abilities. In addition, keep in mind that while Druvis III benefits greatly from running a full Mental Damage team, some powerful DPS characters that deal Reality damage are also good for her team comps to boost the overall damage output.

Main DPS options includes: Centurion (6*), Eternity (6*), Charlie (5*).

Survival Support options includes: Medicine Pocket (6*), Sotheby (6*), Balloon Party (5*).

All Rounder Teams:

Druvis III’s main role in an all rounder team is to disrupt the enemies’ actions with her Petrification debuffs in addition to healing with her Psychube in order to sustain the entire team and allow the team to deal with the enemies.

Main DPS options includes: Centurion (6*), Eternity (6*), Charlie (5*).

Survival Support options includes: Medicine Pocket (6*), Sotheby (6*), Balloon Party (5*).

Final Verdict

Arcanist Rank & Role: A Rank Damage Dealer/ Debuffer

Roll Priority: Medium Priority. While Druvis III is a good 6* Arcanist overall to have, as her skills require a lot of practice to use and her mechanics and overall performance are not as powerful as other 6* arcanist, it is not recommended to roll for her over other banners.

Build Priority: Medium Priority. Druvis III should only be built once players have had a good grasp on the game’s mechanics and have finished building their main DPS in the game, only requiring extra Arcanists built for further challenges.

Closing Thoughts: Druvis III is an interesting Arcanist with her ability to deal Mental Damage and inflict enemies with Petrification. While her utility and damage dealing potential are quite interesting to dissect, her role in the game in general suffers greatly from the existence of other characters that can do her job just as well but require less investments.
